Hey there, I’m Jess
I am a data analyst at a startup. I am also a co-managing director for the non-profit Girls in Tech. I am based in San Francisco. My near-term travel bucket list is currently Hokkaido (Japan), Procida (Italy), and Villefranche-sur-Mer (France).
Through a series of serendipitous events, I was introduced to life coaching in the summer of 2018. After several sessions with my coach, I was fascinated with how I was transforming: my sessions with my coach enabled me to identify my life values (responsibility, adventure, grit, teamwork, friendship), articulate what I was feeling (should I keep exploring pageantry?) and affirm what I want to do in various aspects of my life (relationships, friendships, career).
I have always been an extroverted and empathetic person — I believe that growing up multi-culturally in Taiwan, Malaysia, and California hugely influenced me to be this way. Somewhere along the way, I learned to be a really good listener as well.
Living your fulfilling life is radical. I know because I have been really scared pursuing my own fulfillment in life: from moving to California essentially on my own when I was a sophomore in high school, to being the first person in my family to navigate working in the US.
I don’t know if my inner saboteur will never not go crazy when I’m pursuing risky fulfillment in life, the most recent of which is becoming an entrepreneur by being a life coach. But life coaching changed me, and I’m more confident now because I have the tools to feel less stressed and unhappy. I can be more sure of the decisions I am making, or I am able to quickly adopt new perspectives, both methods that my coach and I work through regularly.
I can only hope that you’d experience the same in your life-long journey of self-discovery, and I’d be honored to be a part of it by being your coach.
